All guests on our American Plan packages experience the finest dining in the area. Quality food specially prepared by our skilled chefs, served by friendly, attentive and courteous staff. We offer an exceptional American Plan Menu – one so popular that many other lodges have even tried to duplicate it. We pride ourselves in service. Your entire meal is served table side – from your first cocktail, to soup, salad, dinner and dessert. There are no buffets, or salad bar line ups; your server takes care of all of your dining needs while you relax and enjoy yourself. While sipping on a cocktail, Foxy’s Supper Club delights in an atmosphere of camaraderie, warmth, and a renewing of old acquaintances; making new friendships and reliving the excitement of the day’s fishing. Beautiful and relaxing, our air conditioned rustic log dining room is tastefully decorated with a distinct Northern Ontario flavor. All of this, coupled with a lovely view of the lake, will certainly add to your dining pleasure!

Your Breakfast

Breakfast is served from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. allowing you to get a jump on the morning, or to rest up if you like before heading out for the day’s adventures. For a hearty start to your day, choose from a variety of menu items such as eggs any style, homemade pancakes, or French toast served along side hot sizzling sausage, bacon or ham, home fried potatoes, juice and of course a fresh pot of piping hot coffee! We also offer hot and cold cereals, muffins, toasted cinnamon buns and fresh fruit should you prefer a lighter start.

Shore Lunch

Next up – Lunch! Nothing beats a fresh fish shore lunch prepared over an open fire! Your guide will clean and prepare your morning’s catch of fresh fish, breaded with ‘Anderson’s Own’ Gourmet Fish Breading. To compliment this outdoorsman’s feast of fresh fish, your guide will also prepare pan-fried potatoes and onions, baked beans, hot vegetables and a fruit dessert. Simply out of this world! Of course, with our focus on flexibility, should a member of your party be unable to eat fish or prefer not to, other alternatives will be prepared. That’s just another example of our commitment to providing the ultimate fishing vacation for every member of your group.

Dinner at our Lodge

Now, let’s talk about dinner. Our American Plan menu is a wonderful variety of traditional favorites that have become so popular with guests that they look forward to them year after year. Attentive staff and quality food are what make the difference, and we have both. Everything from our kitchen is prepared with a “homemade” touch that sets an unbeatable standard for any American Plan menu package, fresh vegetables, AAA beef, and tender poultry to mention only a few of the favorites. Time tested recipes prepared for our guests only after they have proven to meet the standard we have set for first class dining, the finest in the Sioux Lookout area. Homemade desserts, soups, sauces – everything made from scratch – are what makes our menu unique and beyond compare. No corners are cut, or pre-made mixes used – everything from our kitchen is prepared fresh daily by our experienced chefs, who bring with them the strong sense of pride and quality that you will find in all our staff.

Not only do we feature our nightly American Plan specials, but we also have a full a la carte menu to choose from should you prefer something other than the feature for the evening. If you have special dietary needs, our chefs are happy to prepare meals that will accommodate you. You aren’t restricted to a specific menu and can enjoy the flexibility of alternate choices should you wish. But let us tempt you with our American Plan Dinner Menu (see Featured Menu Items on this page).  The menu in itself, a reason to choose Anderson’s above all else!

To make your dining experience complete, we have a full service staff so you can sit back and relax in air conditioned comfort while your entire meal is served tableside from your first cocktail to dessert. Enjoy the beautiful rustic atmosphere of Foxy’s Dining Room while a friendly server tends to your dining needs. No long, hot, buffet lines only to reach food that has been sitting half the night. Your dinner is prepared to order, served hot to your table. Take the break you deserve, while we take care of everything else with impeccable quality, service and style.

Another nice touch adjacent to the dining room is a small cocktail lounge.  A place where you can have a quiet drink and watch your favourite sports event on the most up to date satellite TV equipment available or if you have brought your laptop, tap into our wireless internet.  We feel that in spite of the fact that you are in the remote north, it’s pretty nice to watch Headline News or Sportsnet or touch base with the office (if you absolutely have to).

A fantastic addition to your dining experience is our outdoor patio. Providing you with an alternative option where you can enjoy the outdoors and indulge in your featured meal and favourite cocktail for the evening. The patio also features two satellite TV’s offering you the ability to catch up with News or Sports, all while seating outside enjoying the summer evenings in the north!

Enjoy a cocktail in the “Liar’s Lounge” or on the patio before or after dinner. Catch up on the latest news, weather or sports via satellite TV, and share in the sense of camaraderie and warmth while you swap fishing “tales” with some of the other guests..

Where else can you stay on an American Plan package and still enjoy flexible dining hours? Our dining room is open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. so that you can dine at your leisure. Unlike other camps, there are no restricted hours forcing you to eat before you’re hungry, or sit around and wait when you are. Come up early so that you can catch some fishing later on in the evening from the dock, or relax and enjoy the scenic grounds after a long day of hauling in the “big ones” and come up for dinner later if you like. Either way, we accommodate your dining preference, and invite you to set the pace of your own vacation.

Featured Menu Items
Saturday On Saturday night we feature a succulent BBQ’d Smoked Chop with a side of our signature red onion marmalade – absolutely delicious! Creamy scalloped potatoes and tender green beans complete this meal. Start your dinner with our Balsamic Mixed Greens and enjoy a sumptuous Cherry Whiskey Cheesecake for dessert.
Sunday Sunday evening is a traditional favorite – Prime Rib! We slow roast our Prime Rib all day to mouthwatering perfection and serve it au jus along with spiced roast potatoes and mixed vegetables. Start off with a tasty Oriental Salad and for dessert enjoy our decadent homemade Raspberry Ice Cream.
Monday Monday night enjoy our homemade Chicken Cordon Bleu!  A tender chicken breast is hand stuffed with the traditional filling of smoked ham and tangy Swiss cheese, accompanied with a decadent serving of Fettucini Alfredo and glazed carrots . Our own special Strawberry Spinach Salad starts this meal off right and for dessert, a delicious Strawberry Rhubarb Coffee Cake warmed and served with vanilla ice cream.
Tuesday On Tuesday evening you’ll want to sink your teeth into a juicy, AAA 10 oz New York Strip Steak seasoned with the perfect blend of spices and charbroiled to your liking. Enjoy a baked potato, steamed broccoli and a Caesar Salad with your meal; and don’t forget to try our “family tested recipe” of homemade Chocolate Cake for dessert – decadent!
Wednesday Wednesday’s feature is Roast Turkey dinner with all the traditional trimmings – dressing, piping hot gravy, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, cranberry sauce – just like Christmas! This meal is complimented with a tasty Orange Romaine Salad and for dessert – homemade Apple Pie!
Thursday Thursday evening is one of the most popular – succulent BBQ Baby Back Ribs served with rice pilaf and corn. This meal begins with a creamy Seafood Salad and for dessert we offer a decadent Carrot Cake.
Friday Friday night enjoy our tasty Chicken Souvlaki accompanied with Greek style roasted potatoes and a garden vegetable blend. Start off this exquisite meal with our zesty Greek salad and homemade dressing.  If you still have room, we have a Dutch Apple Cake warmed and served with a homemade caramel sauce for dessert.
