There’s something pretty exciting about the 1st frost of the fall. The sweet smell of freshly fallen leaves starting to coat the forest floor and these majestic fall colours start to blend creating your favorite Camo pattern – it’s hunting time!
Our Grouse season opens on September 15th annually and for some of our guests, they combine their fall fishing trip with a grouse hunt!
We accommodate groups of 2 to 10, the number of tags given to a group varies with the party size and date of booking. We currently have waiting lists for some of our hunts, so don’t wait and start your planning now!

Combine Fantastic Fall Fishing with a Ruffed Grouse Hunt!
The cool crispness of the fall air will transform the landscape into hues of reds, oranges and yellows – it’s time to clean up the shot gun, it’s hunting time! Cool water brings the fish in shallow, and the cool air summons the Grouse to feed heavily in preparation of winter. We have endless networks of trails and roads that are prime grounds to attract the prize bird of the North~the Ruffed Grouse. Also abundant and great table fare are Spruce Grouse, and on a rare occasion you might even get a bead on the flighty Sharp Tail Grouse.
This game bird hunt is set up to make it easy and flexible for you to book. Simply pick out a fishing package for your preferred number of days, then simply add on the cost of your small game license ~ it’s that easy! We will go over area maps for productive areas to hunt and after your time on the water catching piles of fish you can hit the dirt and blast for these tasty birds. Dogs are welcome.
